And she passed through, broom and pan in hand...

S'cuse me everyone, just doing some cleaning.

Figured that after not really coming here for four years that I should just go give the place a once-through and a good shake.

Who knows, I just might just take this baby for a drive again. :)

However!! ... uh, yes. x_x;

I'm going to upload lots and lots and LOTS of scraps and things in my sketchbooks that I should've put up ages ago (what, just because i stopped updating DA dosen't mean I stopped drawing..) so you .... yeah.

I'm surprised I still have 50 or so people still devwatching me. You are all brave, brave persons. Much love!

Did y'all miss me yet?

I know it's been months, really... months since I've actually posted some of my own artwork done out of personal pleasure. It's probably been over a year since I've actually put up a finished piece of digital artwork that I would call -- on my standards -- finished and worth looking at. I have not paid attention to the dozens of DeviantART's renovations of gallery structure or the new rules inforced upon us all (except the one on the model permission slips, I had a few choice words to say about that one). However, while my activity on DeviantART has waned, my artistic ability, hopefully, has not.

Well, of course it hasn't, I've been taking so many damn art classes in college that I really can't let it go to crap. My interests have also wandered to Ragnarok Online and lots of political mumbo-jumbo. But alas, I really haven't proved it to all of you, have I?

I have originally made another account called "scrib-n-screw" that I have put nothing on. it's utterly empty. Nothing. Zilch. That's because I made it before they had put in the scrap deviation function. Now that they have that, I feel much more comfortable about uploading the scribbles I do in Painter and openCanvas.

I've gone about and updated as much about myself as possible on the main pages and I've gutted out my Deviantwatch because I can't handle 230 new pictures, journal entries, and clubs all at once. I am going to leave the Sonic club because I can't handle 6 journal entries a week about just how many members they have. I think that they can make do with one less more. Sonic really hasn't tickled my fancy lately anyhow (which is ironic, cause I'm a featured artist on TeamARTAIL and used to work for a popular Sonic fansite six years ago).

So I'm sorry if I haven't replied to your comments, your notes, your favorites, or your desperate pleas for my return (haw). I have Jade pictures somewhere, I swear. I still remember who Chandler Sharrpingtooth, Justin Paine, Trina Lightfoot, and Ludwing are. Harry Potter is still very near and dear to me. You'll just have to put up with five times more Ragnarok Online than you've been previously used to from me.

Who knows, if I get back into the habit of posting here, I just might get a subscription as some sort of wierd apology to DA for abandoning it for so long. God help me.

And that's the scoop. Have fun kids.

On the new Nudity Policy...

Thu May 20, 2004, 3:51 PM
Because everyone has SO much to say on it...

I really don't think some people really understand WHY these rules are being put in place... the main one, obviously, is for the really strict laws on Child Pornography (which means that nude pictures of people under the age of 18 is well... illegal). And if some FBI agent scrambles across DeviantART and finds a picture that looks like a nude underage individual on this site, DeviantART could be immediately and permanently taken down without prior warning and most certainly without our consent.

Also, if a model had agreed with an artist to pose for pictures for the private use of the artist (either in an artist's studio or for just a school) but later found out that her images were put up online, he/she has extremely good grounds to sue the artist and DeviantART, thus resulting in HUGE fines, and once again the possible shutdown of DeviantART.

What it all comes down to it, it's about censorship or DA MAN IS THRZHING MI CRATEIVETTTIII OMGGG , it's about the laws of the country where the servers are located which were allready in place (for which we really can't do much about) and the privacy and prior agreements that have taken place among private citizens. Complain about YOUR rights getting violated all you want, but don't forget that while we may go in the persuit of happiness, we are not entitled to enfringe on the privacy or the freedoms of other individuals, whether they be models or... 16-year-old models.

And that's my piece.

Birthday Approaching...

Tue Mar 23, 2004, 11:05 AM
Hehehee, I turn 19 on thursday, March 25th.... yeah, sorry for the late warning. I wouldn't care if no one drew me a picture for my birthday anyways, so yeah. But if you did, it'd be very nice, especially on such late notice. ;P But I'm not expecting anyone to.

I'm in the middle of Spring Break right now, however.... to spend my time, I've been hanging out on campus anyways, just in the Meyer library to look for books and use the faster internet connection here to play RO properly. It has been a good break so far, but I wish it could be a bit longer.

And I have been getting plenty of sleep for those concerned. Oh, and I have been drawing. ;)

*stretch* Ahhhh....
